Due to the City of Welland having its Main street Bridge closed, we’ve had a significant decrease in sales.
When we were notified of the bridge closure, calls were made to the Mayor’s office and the local Chamber of Commerce, and we were told the bridge would remain open with only one lane closed, making the impact on our business minimal.
This did not happen, and our sales decreased significantly.
That freshly painted bridge cost our city a lot more than money. We were told it was a big rush to get it done in time for the pan-am games rowing competitions that will be taking place in Welland. Now several Welland-based jobs have been lost, in this business alone.
We'll continue to be a force for good in the area, and are still functioning as a group of techs, consistent with our original goals, albeit in a different capacity that is not financially driven.
For the time being, we are not taking on any new work, or fulfilling requests for on-site service.
For our customers who need computer repair services, we recommend:
· Performance Computers, across from the No-Frills plaza on Lincoln St.
· JTG Systems in Fonthill
We ask that all residents of Welland support your local economy by supporting the small, locally owned shops, and stay away from Best Buy, Future Shop, and WalMart. You will always get better service!
If you have purchased a computer from us and are in need of service, or, if you dropped off some equipment for servicing and we haven't connected to return it to you yet, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
There are plans to change the business into something related, awesome, and needed in the City of Welland. We won’t disappear, we’ll just be more awesome when we return.
